Referral Bonus

FDC is now offering a $1000 referral bonus to FDC employees who refer a viable candidate to join our corrections team as a Correctional Officer, Correctional Probation Officer or Inspector! To qualify for the full bonus, the candidate must have or earn their Criminal Justice Standards & Training Commission (CJSTC) certification, be hired by FDC and maintain their position with the department for one year. The more you refer, the more you can earn!

When you refer a new trainee

  • The FDC employee will receive $500 upon the referred candidate’s certification by the CJSTC as an officer; and
  • $500 following the referred candidate’s successful completion of one year as a certified officer.

When you refer a CJSTC certified officer

  • The FDC employee will be eligible for a $500 bonus 30 days after the referred candidate’s hire date and $500 following the candidate’s first anniversary date of hire with the agency.
  • Only one FDC employee is eligible for the bonus per referred and retained candidate. All referred candidates must have been hired on or after August 1, 2021 and include the FDC employee who referred them on their application. Recruiters, Human Resource staff and other hiring authorities are not eligible for the referral bonus.
  • Only current FDC employees are eligible to receive the referral bonus. Contact your local Human Resource representative for more information.
